Brought the car back from the shop today. I’ll need to move to a vipec system in the spring. Basically the power is dropping off at around 4500-5000 rpm.
Once she starts making some power there’s too much air being pulled through the MAF and it can’t keep up with metering the air. Even at 16psi it was pulling nearly 80%+ capacity of the upper limit of the MAF. Even with my big MAF and EcuTek. I’m now running the Ultimate Racing T3/T04E, which is basically a journal bearing GT30.
The car does feel great, and you can start to feel it build some power, but then it just drops off. We’ll give it a go again for tuning in the spring. The car is now put away for the winter. I don’t have any pictures of the new setup because it was all dark out tonight with poor lighting. Frank has a few that I’ll try and get from him and post up.
I’m happy with the look of the engine bay though.. lots of polishing to do in the spring, a new tune and we’ll be all done with the car.
